Womens Results

Monday, April 16th, 2007

The 3rd Division women started off Ballina Soccer Clubs season on Friday night playing against Goonellabah.

Unfortunately for the women they only had 6 of there regular team turn up, and from what I hear they played their hearts out. Goonellabah proved too strong winning 3-0. The 3rd division ladies had 5 fantastic fill ins from U/15 girls and would like to thank Tayla, Shea, Rachel, Georgia M and Sophie.
Best on field - Elly Brown, Jess Snow and Michelle Erwin.
I hope that more players turn up next week and the ladies can start to bond on the field and show us what they really can do. Good Luck.

In 2nd division Ladies Ballina were up against Richmond Rovers. The teams were evenly matched even though Ballina were once again short a few of their normal team mates. The girls played extremely well only to concede a freaky goal from out wide going down 1-0. Second division would like to thank Elly, Jess and Michelle who helped out with numbers.
Best on filed - Libby Zulpo and Amy Foster.

Well done to both teams, hope to see some more players turn up.
