Please be careful

Around 3pm on Wednesday afternoon a young girl who played in a school soccer game was approached by a man in a grey/blue old style car behind the clubhouse in Canal Road.

We don’t have any further details to put forward at this stage.

Fortunately nothing occurred in this particular instance but it does show how vulnerable our young children may be.

With our season just about to begin I can’t stress enough the importance of coaches/parents or any volunteer of our club to be diligent in ensuring that all our young players are not left alone at the end of training etc until they are picked up by a family member.

This may be just a once off incident but you never know. Please be careful.

Cheers
