Grade 16
The 16s opens played their final match of the season and probably their last match as juniors last night against Lismore Thistles at home on S2. Thistles were sharp early, and our team took a while to gel. Eight minutes in we were 2-0 down. We rallied and played hard determined football. It was still 2-0 at half time. Fifteen minutes into the second half Lismore scored again. We pressed and were looking like maybe we could score but didn’t quite. Full time came and we were 3-0 down. A really determined and hard fought game. Well done everyone on the efforts you’ve put in this season. A very big thank you to coach Ian for all your hard work as well as your care and encouragement. Thanks also for Kye and Alex for stepping up at half time and being linesmen for us.
