Grade 16
With the help of a change of venue and a hand full of 15s, the 16s open team managed to get a game today against competition front runners Byron Bay in Byron. The team played very well with some sensational goal keeping by Zaiden keeping us in it. Byron scored first but this was countered 16 minutes later when Connor ran onto a pass from Reuben, evaded defenders and slot it just inside the left hand post. Unfortunately Byron scored again less than a minute from half time. We came in at the break 2-1 down. The second half was again tight with Byron easily having the most chances. They scored shortly before the end of the game to run out winners 3-1. It was a very commendable effort from our team. Well done. A big thanks to Connor, Kye, Lachlan, Luke & Tex from the 15s for helping us out.
