Fire authorities sift through Victory hotel ruins (ABC News)

The old pub has been good to us for so many years, and although I have neglected her for the last few years, her memory still lives long in my heart.

Seahorse (and Osprey) Spirit Alive and Well

June 16th, 2008

Tori submitted an article for the site, regarding the Girls game on Friday night.

On Friday the 13th The Ballina Under 15 Girls, Ospreys & Seahorses, versed
each other on S1 at Home. The game, even though full of giggles and laughs, still had its competitive
edge with all girls giving us their usual best.

I am writing because at the end of the game, with the result NOT being a
draw, the spectators witnessed something that is rarely seen in sport
today.

Both teams, the ospreys and seahorses, went into the middle of S1, formed a
circle together, and sang the Ballina Song with the enthusiasm that I’m sure
touched everyone at the grounds.

Thanks girls, you reminded me something that us adults sometimes
forget,”that sport is not just about winning or losing.”

Ballina Club, you should be very proud of your TWO Under 15 Girls Teams.
