CONGRATULATIONS to our Ballina Open B Men’s team who won their ANZAC Cup Final recently.
Ballina defeated Shores United 5-1 in a hard-fought first half to be 1-all and then Ballina dominated the second half to score 4 more goals.
FFNC’s Player of the Match was Ballina’s Brody Flew. There was some great team play from our Ballina men, supported by strong performances by the ever-lasting duo Steve (Macca) McAteer and Craig Cowan. Also encouraged into the Men’s team for this pre-season competition were two of the club’s junior players – Zeb Surman and Zac Meldrum. Well done boys.
Also making the Finals were our Ballina Men in the Open A Anzac Cup competition. Unfortunately they lost to arch rivals Tintenbar East Ballina.
