Ballina Juniors to Play Competition Games
A new plan is being devised by the new Ballina Soccer Club committee to increase the enjoyment of soccer (slash football) for the five, six and seven year olds.
In previous times, the juniors have gathered on a Saturday morning for a skills session, teaching the children the basics of the game in a fun learning environment.
Although the skills session will not change, the juniors will now be involved in competition games with real teams, real fields and real uniforms.
Although the full details are still in the planning stage, the idea will be to have all games in the central location of Saunders Oval, giving parents the convenience of travelling to one ground with the comfort of the Clubhouse canteen while watching their children play.
The kids will get a kick out of more organised competition games, lining up in their sky blues and booting the first of what is hopefully many goals for the Ballina Soccer Club.
If you are a little nervous that you children aren’t ready for the rough and tumble - don’t worry. The skills sessions will still help your children learn to play, and teams will be organised to suit the levels of the children.
As more details come to hand, we will be posting them here, and in our new email newsletter.
